Remote Reiki - Reiki at a Distance

Mouse in India is a Remote Reiki client
When we talk about 'distance healing' it can literally mean sending and offering Reiki over a distance to the recipient who is in another country, time zone, where an animal is wild or too traumatised for human contact.
Reiki takes us to a space where there is no distance, time, past, present, future where we are all one.
All existence merges and in that space, powerful healing possibilities arise.
Reiki can be 'sent' to traumatic events in the past, it can be given when our loved ones are no longer in their physical bodies, it can be given when space separates us - a powerful gift when we feel powerless to help.
In Reiki practice you will learn to go to this Reiki space and it is here you will find that sense of profound peace and wellbeing.
Advantages of a Remote Reiki Session:
'Distance' Reiki is a technique taught in level 2 Reiki courses but really it begins in the first level with our techniques as energy is non physical. Through breathing techniques and meditations we learn how to strengthen and expand the energy within, which begins to create the healing space without.
In an Animal Reiki class as we learn right from the beginning to be with the animals in that healing space without touch, and even though the animal might be a distance away, you will see that they respond.
When you book a Remote session we agree on a time when you can relax, turn off your phone put on some nice music. I suggest you put aside an hour of uninterrupted time even though the session is 30 minutes, in order to allow you to gently return from the Reiki space. I will send a suggested routine prior to the appointment. We make arrangements to connect at a later time to address any questions that may arise.
During the session I sit in meditation, go through my own set up routine and connect with the person and /or animal. Alternatively we can conduct the session via Zoom which is much more interactive allowing for questions and feedback.
Distant sessions for animals are similar. I suggest the person be present (though not necessary) to observe their animal friend during the session. Some of my long term clients don’t feel the need to be present and that’s fine, too. I remind them it is not play time or food time, though physical contact is great if your animal friend wants that. I sit in meditation, set my intention and invite the animal to connect with me in that healing space. I also let the animal know they are free to turn down the session/energy if it's not right for them at this moment in time. I will follow up the session with an email highlighting any advice for home care or anything brought to my attention in the session.

Advantages of a Remote Reiki Session:
- When time is of the essence it can be arranged at short notice
- When frequency of treatment (daily sessions) are recommended but not able to visit a practitioner.
- Easy to schedule regular sessions over a longer period of time.
- When an animal is uncomfortable or nervous with strangers or in new situations.
- When an animal is lost.
